What is Information & Assistance?

Information and Assistance (I & A) is a Monterey County information gateway and clearinghouse for older adults (60+) and their families. We provide in-depth assessment of clients’ needs and identify the most appropriate resources to meet those requirements. Whether you are a senior, a caregiver, or a family member, we will link you quickly and accurately with organizations that can meet your needs. All I & A services are free of charge.

Information & Assistance offers:

Bilingual (Spanish-speaking), culturally sensitive staff
Assessment and problem-solving of individual situations
Information about housing availability and housing issues in Monterey County
A comprehensive resource database with accurate information about health, social and community services
Linkage with community, county, state and government programs
Home visits with homebound clients
