First incorporated in 1970, the Alliance on Aging is the largest and oldest agency devoted exclusively to the welfare of Monterey County’s older men and women – a population that is vulnerable, invisible, and growing.
Originally designed to provide rides for shopping and medical appointments, the Alliance's programs expanded rapidly during the early years of the agency.
Currently
– 36 years after its inception – the Alliance offers eight programs
that together form a critical network of support for the county’s older
adults, their families, and caregivers. And today, as always, the Alliance
on Aging offers all its services to the county’s older men and women
free of charge.

How you can help….
The Alliance on Aging could not exist were it not for the generosity of our many friends.
The services we offer seniors depend, year in and year out, on this ongoing support. You may wish to contribute to the work of the Alliance in a number of ways:
Become a volunteer with one of our programs.
Call 1-800-510-2020 for information on volunteer opportunities.
Spread the word about the services we provide. Older men and women need to know how the Alliance can help.
Make a tax deductible donation, gift or bequest to support all our programs for older adults in Monterey County.
Donate a car to the Alliance and take a tax deduction for the fair market value.
Contribute to the Stephen A. Grant Endowment as a living memorial to this legend.
